Lancelot looks for a bed for the night

Manuscript

This large manuscript contains numerous illustrations accompanying the Lancelot-Grail cycle of romances. In this episode, Lancelot is in need of lodging for the night, and comes across a pavilion in which a lady lies in bed. Contrary to our expectations, the lady objects to an exhausted Lancelot resting there, as she is unchaperoned.
